Use of this drum in pistol caliber carbines (PCC) will cause the increased length of the feed tower to be unsupported which may eventually result in improper round presentation and failure to feed.

Inserting into the Firearm
Inserting must be done on an open bolt.
1) Check that the Loading Lever in is the stowed/down position.
2) Check that your Bolt/Slide is locked to the rear.
3) Push the magazine up into the magazine well with enough force to engage the magazine catch.
4) Pull down on the magazine with the same amount of force to ensure that the magazine is fully seated

D-50 GL9 Instructions
Load one round at a time by hand. Magazine loaders designed for 9mm double stack Glock magazines may be used, but compatibility is not guaranteed.
Step 1: Lay on its back on a flat surface. Deploy Loading Lever and rotate it counterclockwise to depress the magazine spring/round stack.
Step 2: Load by sliding the rounds under the feed lips and to the rear in the feed tower, as you would with an OEM Glock magazine.
Step 3: After inserting each round into the magazine, ensure that the rim of the round is at rest against the rear wall of the feed tower. Release the lever and rotate it again to further depress round stack. Repeat until all 50 rounds are inserted.

As the magazine nears full, it may require more than one cycle of the Loading Lever to insert one round.
DO NOT attempt to unload the D-50 with the loading lever up. Unloading the D-50 with the lever in the up position may result in damage to the magazine.

It is not necessary to download the D-50 for long term storage. They are designed to be left loaded without any loss of function or degradation.
