KA-BAR,
formally KA-BAR Knives, Inc. manufactures high quality military, hunting,
sporting, and all-purpose utility, and outdoor survival knives.
The
Warthog Tanto Folder features G10 handles for a non-reflective black tactical
appearance with a textured grip. The serrated edge hollow ground blade with
thumb stud for easy opening and thumb ramp, is Teflon coated which provides
corrosion resistance. Designed after the original large full size fixed blade
Warthog Survival knife, but with a Tanto blade in a convenient pocket size.
A
compact, stout tanto blade is fiercely rugged and appropriate for piercing
through the toughest materials. The tanto is a sword but is used as a knife.
The blade is single or double edged. They are characterized by an angular,
almost noncontinuous edge made up of two cutting planes. The edge draws a line
out from the handle before making a hard change of direction and running to the
tip, resulting in a striking appearance and broad, durable point.
G-10
is a high-pressure fiberglass laminate, created by glass cloth soaked in epoxy
resin compressed under heat until the epoxy cures. It is the toughest glass
fiber resin laminate and the most used. It is used as a filler material. It is
favored for its high strength, low moisture absorption, and high level of
electrical insulation and chemical resistance.
420
Stainless Steel is a high-carbon steel, giving the blade excellent corrosion
resistance properties with increased toughness. It has a shiny silvery finish,
which is very eye-catching. 420 Stainless Steel is easy to sharpen to its
original condition.
