The #2870 S&K Finish Mosin is designed to slide into the dovetail base of the Finish Mosin 2876 rifle. Simply position the S&K mount with the smaller end of the bottom tapered dovetail facing forward and behind the tapered dovetail on the receiver. Slide the mount forward into the dovetail base on the receiver. Tap forward with your hand & install the (2) 10-32 x 5/16 socket set screws. The mount will self tighten from the recoil of the rifle.
